I am a fun lover. My aim in life is to bring proud to my parents in whatever I do.I am quite interested in knowing about American life ,is it similar to Indian life or is it much different? I would like to know about students in US.I've heard that as soon as children grow up in US they don't live their parents any more-is it true?

Hi Meghal! Nice to meet you. My name is Joey and I am one of the American teachers at Penn State. I would love to see photos of Jamshedpur - it sounds wonderful.

I am interested in playing guitar, video games, and sports like tennis and American football. That is a very good goal that you have.

I am also very interested in seeing the similarities and differences between American and Indian culture. To address your question, there are many different kinds of people in America - yes, I think it is quite common for grown up children to leave their parents and to live by themselves. But as the parents get very old, the children come back and take care of their parents.

I wrote more about American culture on my blog at http://wise2007.blogspot.com Maybe you can take a look. What are your thoughts on technology, Indian culture, and careers? I am very interested to hear more about your thoughts.

Very nice to meet you Meghal!

Hi Meghal, Its great to talk to you through this blog! I am Sharoda (teacher Manju's daughter) and I am one of the teachers for this camp. I study at Penn State University and like to play cricket, read, and make friends.

I spent my entire life in Jamshedpur so I love it too and really miss it. American culture is quite different but Americans are very friendly and I have made many friends.

So you are in the computer science stream. What inspired you to take up this field? What are your career plans for the future?

I study use of technology in healthcare and medicine. It is about how doctors can use technology to provide better care to the patient.

Let me know if you have any questions for me by posting on your blog. Have fun and talk to you again soon!
